On the Night
Thank you for giving one night to shine a light on homelessness. Your support is helping Focus Ireland to end homelessness in Ireland.
Preparing for your sleep-out
- Choose your sleep spot: Pick a safe and secure outdoor space (such as a garden, balcony, carpark, work green space). If you have no outdoor space, choose somewhere indoors that isn’t your bed, such as a couch, living room floor or kitchen floor. Please ensure you do not sleep in a public place.
- Stock up on bedding supplies: Sleeping bag, pillow, bin liners (large and small), cardboard, warm clothing and lots of loose layers. Top tip: a hot water bottle is an excellent addition!
- Internet access: You will need access to the internet to join our virtual activities on shinealight.focusireland.ie. You can join via your phone or a laptop/tablet.
- Bathroom facilities and snacks: Please ensure you have access to bathroom facilities, a hot drink and some snacks.
